so grateful for the instructionals posted on facebook that i got to discover a recipe for a homemade ice cream that needs not an ice cream maker! it was a bit successful - a bit because the ice cream was a bit dense and melts easily. i'm guessing it was because i put on a little bit more cream (i put on the whole can instead of measuring just a cup) and i guess the egg was small compared to what was really needed. this is why i've altered a bit the recipe i've found online. and oh! i added condensed milk which i think i shouldn't have.
anyways, i hope that if you find yourself in this blog and wished to try this, it will be more successful than mine =)
1 cup all purpose cream
1.5 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup full cream milk
1.5 cup sugar
1 egg (large) or 2 eggs (small)
mix all together until sugar is dissolved then let it simmer. if it's thick, remove from heat and add 1/4 cubed cheese, if you want, then chill for three hours. after chilling, beat until it lifts (or doubles). transfer to a container and cover to the top of the mix with cling wrap then freeze overnight.
if your ice cream is too sweet, add a dash of salt to balance the taste. serve.
i hope you like it!
